"Born to Perish" τιτλοφορείται το νέο δισκογραφικό πόνημα των Destruction, το οποίο αναμένεται να κυκλοφορήσει τον Αύγουστο. Πρόκειται για τον 16ο full length στουντιακό δίσκο των Γερμανών thrashers. Παρακολουθούμε το βίντεο με τον drummer Randy Black να "εκτελεί" το ομότιτλο και εναρκτήριο τραγούδι...
Randy Black: «This clip of "Born to Perish" was filmed during the drum recording sessions at my studio in Berlin this March! This song is especially cool for me because it started with me recording all the drum parts first then i sent the recording to the guys and they wrote the song around it! This is the final result of me nailing down what would become the title track of the CD. I always try to come up with drum parts i’ve never recorded on any other CD before.
On this track it’s the double kick pattern in the intro and middle part of the song. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did recording it! An amusing story about this clip is, that I was so concentrated on getting everything right with the recording and filming that i completely forgot I was wearing my reading glasses! Ha ha - how METAL is THAT! LoL.»
Marcel Schirmer: «The title track was the first song we wrote for the new record and it definitely shows the strength that Destruction has in 2019. It immediately set the bar high for the rest of the album. It features everything that we stand for: speed, picking, variety and punch. Randy came up with some very cool drum patterns and Damir offered up a really crunchy solo part, so both new members are heavily involved here!»
Mike Sifringer: «We started the song with some drum patterns that Randy gave us and adjusted some riff ideas we had. It was a nice challenge to write some tight right hand picking for a 212 beats per minute song. As a guitar player this is close to my speed limit, especially on the triplets - great fun to play though!»
