Δεν θυμάμαι πως βρέθηκε στα χέρια μου το βινύλιο του "Unveiling the Wicked" των Exciter. Πιθανότατα κάποιος φίλος το είχε αγοράσει και μου το έδωσε να το ακούσω. Ήταν ο τέταρτος δίσκος των Καναδέζων. Έτος κυκλοφορίας 1986. Με ένα εξώφυλλο... μακριά από την αισθητική μου.

Ακουμπώ την βελόνα στο πικάπ. Δεν ενθουσιάζομαι αλλά ακούγεται ευχάριστα. Ώσπου "σκάνε" οι πρώτες νότες του εισαγωγικού "Invasion" κι όλα τα προηγούμενα ξεχάστηκαν. Η συνέχεια καταιγιστική, το "Invasion" παραχωρεί την θέση του στο "Waiting in the Dark".

Ο χρόνος σταματάει, το σαγόνι στο πάτωμα και προσπαθώ να συνειδητοποιήσω ποιος ανεμοστρόβιλος πέρασε από πάνω μου. Μέγας φαν των Exciter δεν έγινα, τους παρακολουθούσα (και εξακολουθώ να το κάνω) από απόσταση. Τούτο το τραγούδι όμως εξακολουθεί να με συγκλονίζει όπως και την πρώτη φορά που το άκουσα. 26 χρόνια πριν! Αθάνατο Us Power...
